andnbspHello. This digital painting is a part of a personal science fiction project that I am working on. The ideas are fluid, and evolve as I go along on this journey. I come from a Island of Carnival, the national `summer` festival. The tropical influence on the colour and costumes are quite potent in my work, thus the typical monochromatic palette of sci-fi are deliberately de-emphasised a sort of tropical punch of colour. Also, I come from a background of andnbsp traditional non-digital painting, and for the most part, except for the convenience of layers and text I tend to take a non digital approach to digital art. I painted in the same direct manner as traditional art when painting each element within the work. A 3D technique that I have adapted is one where I prepare the `models` apart up to a point, then assemble them and finish them in the final scene. This painting is 95 percent photoshop. The vehicles were conceived in Alchemy. There is a slight touch of autocad (I am trained in autocad) in there also. A tropical punch of colour. Enjoy. Cheers. B.G.Nash.

Suddenly I came with an idea of tower made out of devils, goats or fauns trying to reach the moon. This is what I have finished with.

This picture was painted digital for CD cover for the hungarian rock band ElfSong. I used a Wacom Cintiq 24HD tablet with airbrush pen.

This was a commision for a card game. The art director wanted a character developing that looked like him. I based this off photos` and added my own flair.

Creative process. First I sketched a few ideas on paper with a basic pencil, refined and refined some more. When I was happy with my overall idea I fired up my Daz3D and posed a character roughly in the position I wanted, positioned the camera and did a quick render with the default lights. Then I opened my photoshop and sketched the pose and started to design the clothing and everything else. It took me about 5-6 hours of work from start to finish.

The idea behind this picture was a leap of faith. The character is leaping back first through a window in to the unknown as represented by the darker tones of the bottom half of the picture.

Here is a painting that I made exclusively for an amazing Tea room - Cafandeacute here in Athens, Cap Cap Cap Cap has two rooms the first one reminds of old fairy tales and Harry Potter and the second one reminds of Alice in Wonderland. It feels like a dream house, as if time has stopped.I also created a painting for the second room. It`s the best cafeteria I`ve ever been to. As for the tastes, they`re unique and simply delicious.
